Teacher Biography
I come from a long line of North Carolina teachers and educators - from my great-great-grandfather, Philander P. Claxton, to my mother, Rebecca Welch, who teaches first grade in Asheville, NC.
I grew up in Weaverville, NC, and I attended UNC-Wilmington, where I studied English and Education.
I love teaching at Eugene Ashley High School, and I am excited to be a part of such a wonderful community of learners and doers.
